Alaska Wolf Hunting

Wolf Hunts begin late February into March this all depend on the winter and how much snow we get. These hunts are all done on snow machines. What you can expect on a days hunt. In the morning, we will get up and have breakfast, pack lunch and go riding. We will ride anywhere from 70-130 mile in a day. Once we get back we will eat supper, relax and make a plan for the next day.

Once we cut into fresh track we will begin to track them. I will have another guide with to track the wolf though the thick trees so that we can skirt around the outside tree line waiting for the wolf to flush out into the open flats. We will use the snowmachines to position hunter/trappers to take wolves during hunt. The animals must be shot from a stationary snow machine. You are allowed 10 wolves per day and don’t need to purchase wolf tags. Weather and temperature can very. It can get down to -10 up to 30 above

Also on the hunt you can take one wolverine for $1000 trophy fee in a trap or over bait pile. If you are planning on taking a wolverine you will need to purchase a $350 locking tag.
